Elopements & Micro-Weddings

NEW WEDDING TREND?

The wedding industry, and wedding trends have definitely shifted in 2020. It has been a tough hearing from couples about having to postpone their wedding day because of this virus. Fortunately, there is still a bright side in this situation. Couples are now choosing to still elope on their wedding day, and shift their larger celebration to another date to ensure that family and friends can be present.

Everyday seems like a new adventure reading through what we can and cannot do when it comes to living our "normal lives". Unfortunately for weddings, there isn't really a clear answer as to when things will start to lift and gatherings will happen. There are different ways of going about dealing with all of this madness. I'm here to help you out.

One of the biggest things that I can't stress enough is to try your absolute best to POSTPONE and not cancel. Canceling is a last resort! As your wedding approaches, keep your eye on state guidelines and what phases are being issued to your areas. Contact all of your vendors and ask what their policies are about postponing. Don't be afraid to ask questions, it's what we're here for!

The second biggest struggle is finding a new date super soon after postponing that all of your new vendors can shift to, but don't wait too long! If you are looking to try to reschedule for a time this year and not everyone is available, it's 100% okay to wait until 2021! No one wants to go through the headache of having to find another vendor for their day after everything is all set!

The further into the year we get, the more elopements I am taking for original wedding dates, and the party has shifted to a later date. Who knows when we're actually going to be able to have large gatherings again. I see elopements really taking off and becoming the new hottest wedding trend. There are many gorgeous venues that cater to elopements and micro weddings to suit your needs until we can all gather on the dance floor and party together!
