SAM & MICHAEL

Sam & Michael had an intimate wedding ceremony in Sonoma, California. They decided to go on more of the DIY route which I am absolutely here for. The venue that they chose was an AirBnb right next to Robledo Family Winery.

If you know my style, I am a huge fan or taking all of the detail photographs outside to embrace some more of the natural elements. While photographing Sam’s details, I happened to look down and to my surprise (shed a tear or two) I saw a ladybug. I was a bit nervous being all the way across the country by myself for the first time but seeing this little red speck calmed my nerves knowing Kristen was watching over me.

After completing the details, I took Michael outside to grab some photos of him look absolutely dapper in his tux, then headed back in to get Sam dressed. All zipped and ready to go, Sam had some help from Michaels daughter Devon with getting her shoes on. The relationship between Sam and Devon is truly one of a kind, and Sam got Devon a little gift to wear before the ceremony started. I have to admit, I was definitely wiping my tears away behind the camera.

Their ceremony was short and sweet, but truly heartfelt. I don’t think that there was a dry eye in the whole barn. After the exchanging of vows, rings, and their kiss, we were onto some family portraits as well as a whole group photo of everyone that attended! While guests started to make their way to Hop Monk Beergarden, we were greeted by this itty bitty puppy from across the fence! Got to grab a quick photo of him before he was called back over, I named him Chico.

Portrait time rolled along and we took some time to explore the property and grab some lovely portraits of the new Mr. & Mrs. then headed to their intimate reception. Upon entry guests were greeted with champagne and we headed right into dances. Dinner was served and we then dove into the cake cutting.

All of their friends & family joined them on the dance floor before the night came to a close, and we grabbed one last portrait in front of their neon sign.
